Off-Campus Housing Assistance

Columbia's Off-Campus Housing Assistance (OCHA) office assists Columbia students and affiliates in their search for rental housing in the metropolitan area. Office staff manage a database known as the Housing Registry which includes available rooms and apartments in non-Columbia-owned buildings as well as sublets of units in Columbia-managed housing.

Prospective roommates can also post and search profiles on this site. In addition, the service offers housing search counseling and is supported in these efforts by our cooperative relationships with two New York City real estate/relocation agencies. Read the legal disclaimer for this service.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other affiliates of Columbia University, Barnard and Teachers College may search or list.  Non-affiliates may also use this service to list available apartments.

See below to watch the OCHA apartment-hunting Webinar, search for housing, list your Columbia Residential unit, or review frequently asked questions regarding Off-Campus Housing Assistance.
