The Columbia Residential Guest Housing Program at Butler Hall, is open to visiting university faculty affiliates such as visiting scholars and researchers and guests of the university with attending official events and programs. Stays are typically considered for a maximum of 29 days, and accommodations are subject to availability.
Policies
To ensure a safe and respectful experience for all guests, the following policies apply:
- CANCELATION POLICY: Cancellations received less than 24 hours before check-in will be subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellations received after check-in are not eligible for a refund.
- CHECK-IN: Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Guests must be a minimum of 18 years old, with a valid photo ID to check-in.
- CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Upon departure, guests must leave their room key at the front desk in the lobby. Late check-out penalties may apply.
- PAYMENT METHODS: We accept credit cards or Interdepartmental Invoices (IDI). Payment by guests is due in full upon arrival.
- SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in Columbia Residential Guest Housing and within 20 feet of any University buildings.
- PETS: Pets are not permitted in Columbia Residential Guest Housing.

Butler Hall, is home to students, faculty and staff eligible for Columbia Residential as well as the Guest Housing Program. Our guest housing facilities are designed with comfort, convenience, and inclusivity in mind.
