A limited number of Columbia Residential buildings have roof decks that are officially designated as building amenities and are open to residents of that building. In all other cases, roof access is strictly prohibited except in the event of an emergency evacuation.
For faculty and postdocs unauthorized roof access is a violation of both Columbia Residential's housing agreement and University policies. Any report6ed violations may result in termination of a housing eligibility.
