A limited number of Columbia Residential buildings have roof decks that are officially designated as building amenities and are open to residents of that building. In all other cases, roof access is strictly prohibited except in the event of an emergency evacuation.
For students, unauthorized roof access is a violation of both Columbia Residential and University policies. Any incidents of student violations will be reported to Center for Student Success and Intervention (CSSI).
