Columbia Residential is dedicated to ensuring that residents feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their homes. When maintenance issues arise, building staff and the Facilities Service Center are here to provide timely support. Clear steps are in place so that residents know exactly how to get help when they need it.
Submitting a Request
- Emergency Requests: Call (212) 854-2222. The Facilities Service Center is available 24/7, year-round.
- Non-Emergency Requests: Submit online (UNI authentication required).

Maintenance and Repair
Columbia Residential is committed to maintaining high property standards for all residents. While rent prices are fixed and not adjusted due to routine maintenance or repairs, every effort is made to minimize disruptions.
- If building staff identify a safety concern or if maintenance work becomes excessively disruptive, temporary accommodations may be provided.
- For extensive repairs, Columbia Residential reserves the right to reassign residents to an alternative unit to ensure comfort and safety.
Building Management
Behind every Columbia Residential building is a dedicated team working to support residents. Directors of Asset Management and Portfolio Managers oversee daily operations in close collaboration with superintendents, building staff, and contractors.
If an issue remains unresolved after contacting the building Superintendent, residents may reach out to the appropriate Director or Portfolio Manager. Contact information is available in the Housing Portal or on the Explore Residential Buildings page.
