Internet and Cable

Residents may view the internet providers available in their building by logging into the Housing Portal to review the amenities link on the Assignment page.

Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT) provides internet service for most Columbia Residential buildings. This service, known as ApartmentNet, is available in over 100 buildings wired with Ethernet jacks in every apartment. Residents in these buildings will need to bring their own router to set up a personal Wi-Fi network.

In select student apartments in the following buildings, Wi-Fi is provided and residents may contact [email protected] to troubleshoot service issues:

  • 124 La Salle Street 
  • 608 West 113th Street 
  • 608 West 114th Street 
  • 610 West 113th Street 
  • 610 West 114th Street 
  • 614 West 114th Street 
  • 3260 Henry Hudson Parkway 

Residents in units not equipped with an internet connection will need to contact an outside internet service provider (e.g. SpectrumVerizon, etc.), through which phone and cable TV services are also available.

Additionally, CUIT is in the process of extending ApartmentNet service to Columbia Residential buildings that are not yet wired. As buildings are wired, the ApartmentNet page will be updated with that information.
